MIDEST 2015 introduces you to additive manufacturing in a fun way!
Additive manufacturing, more commonly referred to as 3D printing, is a manufacturing process that some see as the foundation for the next revolution in industrial production. Reduced design time, lower costs or the realization of complex forms are just some of the advantages delivered by this new technology.
MIDEST and Matrix 3D Concept are coming together to offer you a new experience.
The principle is simple: you stand on a turntable and a remotely controlled camera scans your entire body. As it does so, the results are displayed on a monitor and within four minutes the software models you in 3D.
Every day, two winners will be selected at random to receive a colour statuette of themselves produced by a 3D printer after the show. Don’t be bashful, come and try your luck with Body Scanning.
Relax in 3D printed armchairs
The young start-up Drawn will exhibit its 3D furniture manufactured by its own Galatéa large format 3D printer. Need a break? Take advantage of MIDEST branded chairs that are set out for your use in our space.
The Info Point also has a cyber space and an area for relaxation and snacking. Drop in and see what’s going on!
